Retail Revival

Methodology: This study is based on a survey of 3,014 Americans (45+) conducted in April 2026. Respondents were asked which discontinued or defunct brands they would most like to see brought back to life. Participants selected from a structured list of well-known former retailers, restaurants, and consumer brands, including Blockbuster, Woolworth, Borders and Waldenbrooks, alongside additional options. The survey was carried out online using a nationally representative panel and balanced across age, gender, household income, and geographic region. Results were weighted where necessary to align with U.S. population benchmarks, ensuring a broad and representative snapshot of which nostalgic brands Americans most want to return.
